My Therapeutic Approach

My approach to therapy is person-centered and strength-based. I believe you are the expert in your own life and you have the resources to heal, we just work to recognize and uncover those resources. You deserve to be seen and heard, and if this is not something you are familiar with, therapy can feel vulnerable and scary at first. My priority is to provide a safe and inclusive environment for you to be able to do the work necessary to uncover your authentic self and feel fulfilled.

Modalities I Use

I have training in various evidenced-based treatment modalities ranging from ACT and DBT, to EFT and IFS.

My goal here is not to bore you with an endless list of therapeutic methodologies; instead to give you a feel for my style. If you are looking for something specific please bring it up during your free consult so you can learn up front whether I may be a good option for you.

I aim to choose the therapy that best fits the client's specific needs, goals and that which is deemed clinically appropriate for the setting of providing online therapy. Much of the time it is an eclectic approach with a combination of skills introduced. If I feel your therapy needs/goals are outside my scope, I will make a referral to a provider or agency that would be better equipped.

Initial Steps:

Once you fill out the form for your free consult, I will respond to your request via email (unless you request otherwise) to schedule our initial call. During that call, it is your time to ask any questions you may have of me and my approach, scheduling, my specialties, etc. If you decide to proceed with a therapy session, I will provide you a secure link to EHR with the documents that need completed before that initial session. Scheduling is typically weekly or biweekly depending on what we decide will work for you.
